
Gian Andrea Stragiotti
Gian Andrea Stragiotti discovered kiteboarding at the age of nine and quickly developed a passion for kitefoiling. While sharing his love for the sport in unique locations around the world, he also began competing at an early age, reaching the podium at the Youth Freestyle World Championships when he was just 14 years old. Growing up in Zurich, Gian chose a dedicated path by joining a sports school, giving him the opportunity to train and compete internationally. After winning two Youth Foil World Championship titles, he earned a place on the Swiss Sailing Formula Kite National Team. Today, Gian is focused on reaching the podium at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles while continuing to enjoy every moment on the water, whether racing, freeriding, or exploring new disciplines.

Personal Highlights
Gian’s journey has been defined by a passion for progression and a strong commitment to Formula Kite racing. Winning two U17 World Championship titles marked the beginning of his international success, followed by the U21 World Championship title in 2024. In 2025, he became Formula Kite U21 Vice European Champion and achieved 5th place at the Formula Kite World Championships, further establishing himself among the sport’s top young athletes.
