Wind Range
The wind range chart is to be used as a point of reference. It is based on a rider who weighs around 75 kg (165 lbs). Actual use will vary depending on your weight, skill level, board size/type (twintip or hydrofoil) and wind conditions on water or land. When choosing a kite size, always use common sense and repeatedly choose a smaller size if you are not sure, especially when using the kite on land.

Good To Know
What is UPE Aramid?
UPE refers to Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), often branded as Dyneema® or Spectra®:
Extreme tensile strength (up to 15x stronger than steel by weight)
Very low density (floats on water, ~0.97 g/cm³)
Outstanding abrasion resistance and low friction.
Excellent chemical resistance and UV stability
What are Aramid fibers?
Branded as Kevlar® or Twaron® these are aromatic polyamides with:
High tensile strength (3 – 3.6 GPa)
Exceptional heat resistance (up to 500°C)
Abrasion and impact resistance
Low elongation under load, making them ideal for structural rigidity
Why combine UPE and Aramid?
Ultra-light (~85 g/m², about half the weight of Dacron).
Extremely stiff (8 PSI equals the rigidity of standard Dacron at 15 PSI)
Deformation-resistant (blocks stretch under load)
Highly durable (tear-resistant, low water absorption)
What are the UPE Aramid Frame advantages?
Ultra-lightweight: At just ~85 g/m², UX10 is nearly half the weight of standard Dacron.
Extreme stiffness: Maintains canopy shape under load for precise handling and explosive pop.
Durability: Resistant to UV, abrasion, and moisture – built for harsh marine environments.
Positioning AVID with UX10
Compared to expensive materials like Aluula, our material mix offers 90% of the stiffness and longevity at a fraction of the cost, making it ideal for premium wings without pushing prices into ultra-high-end territory.
Material comparison:
UX10 (UPE Aramid): ~85 g/m²
Aluula: ~52 – 78 g/m²
N-Weave: ~110 – 120 g/m²
Teijin Dacron: ~150 – 160 g/m²

Freestyle
Cut efficiently through the wind at high speeds to load your hydrofoil before take-off. Launch yourself into the air and spin around every axis with the wing. The AVID practically invites you to push boundaries with its massive pop and exceptional maneuverability.
Freeride
Glide effortlessly over the water for hours without worrying about your gear. The ergonomic construction and thoughtful design provide comfort and usability in every session. Rely on AVID’s versatility and safety, covering a wide wind range with just one size.

Features
UPE Aramid Frame

Optimized for faster inflation and deflation. The main valve features a bayonet adapter and push-push pin mechanism for easy handling. Struts are connected with the leading edge bladder via hoses and clamps. The AVID is built around our UPE Aramid Frame, crafted from UX10 performance fabric. This advanced composite combines Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UPE) with Aramid reinforcement, delivering a structure that’s light, stiff, and durable.
- Ultra-light ~ 85g/m² (45% lighter than Dacron)
- Deformation-resistant (resists stretching under load)
- Highly durable (tear-resistant, low water absorption)
Dynamic Rebound

Stiffness requires optimal air pressure to avoid flexibility under high load and stress situations. This is crucial for take-offs and increases the dynamic rebound to receive an explosive pop. The AVID uses two push-push Air Valves to maximise stiffness and maintain sail tension.
Design Concept

The unique design concept of the AVID combines a pointy outline with medium aspect ratio and a centered point of lift. The wing features higher back arm pressure for Re-Engagement and let you rotate freely on all axes. Fast and responsive on reach and downwind tracks, stable in free flight. Accessible performance with an extremely playful and light feel at all times.
Locked-in Feel at full Speed

Unwavering stability when it matters most. The AVID stays perfectly balanced even when you are fully powered, delivering a locked-in sensation that inspires confidence at high speeds, whether you are charging downwind or holding it together on the reach. The wing tracks like it is on rails – no unwanted roll, no surprises. Just pure, controlled acceleration for riders who love to push limits.
Responsive Re-Engagement

Maximum control, instant power. The AVID reacts in a split second as soon as you sheet in: power returns immediately, making transitions and tricks smooth and intuitive. Precise steering ensures accurate responses for jumps and rotations, while the ergonomic design with reduced arm pressure delivers relaxed handling. More dynamics, less fatigue – for riders who want to perfect every move.
